A ChatGPT ads landing page that follows through on the offer

Prepare a landing page for ChatGPT ads with a clear offer, relevant proof, a mobile-friendly enquiry flow and crawler access, plus a review checklist.

Editorial illustration: a person opens a shallow storage cabinet in a narrow hallway.

A useful landing page finishes the thought that made someone click. If the ad offers help choosing an office-cleaning service, the page should explain that service and the next step. Sending the visitor to a broad homepage leaves them to repeat the work of finding the offer.

There is no layout that guarantees a conversion rate. The framework below helps you make the offer understandable, check the destination technically and learn from the response.

Map the customer situation to the page

Start with a three-column brief. Write the customer’s situation, the promise in the ad and the page that can substantiate it. Do this before producing several creative variations.

Illustrative situation Ad promise Page must explain
Comparing cleaning for a small office A quote for recurring office cleaning Service area, scope, quote process and contact route
Choosing storage for a narrow hallway A particular range of shallow cabinets Dimensions, variants, availability and delivery
Evaluating software for a small agency A way to organize client campaigns Actual workflow, access model, pricing and a relevant next step

If one page cannot answer all three columns convincingly, narrow the ad promise or choose a different destination. A new landing page is useful when it answers a distinct need; changing a town name across dozens of nearly identical pages does not create that distinction.

Read the context hint guide for help grouping the situations your offer can serve. The complete ad examples show how a service, shop and software company can carry one promise from the brief to the destination.

Make the first screen answer three questions

The top of the page should explain what is offered, who it is for and what happens next. Use the space for the decision the visitor needs to make.

For the fictional office-cleaning business, a working draft could be:

  • Headline: Office cleaning for small teams in Malmö.
  • Supporting copy: Tell us your office size and preferred schedule. We will review the scope and prepare a quote.
  • Action: Request an office-cleaning quote.

Those lines are example copy, not claims about a real company. The business should only use them if it provides that service and process. A promise such as a same-day quote belongs here only when the team can consistently fulfil it.

Keep the primary action easy to find on a phone. If someone needs more information first, a nearby link to scope, delivery or pricing can help without competing with the main action.

Put evidence beside the decision it supports

A page can look polished and still leave its important claims unsupported. Pair each claim with a useful explanation or genuine evidence.

For a service, show what is included, where the team works, how a quote is prepared and who the visitor is contacting. Use authentic project examples and customer comments only when you have permission and accurate context. Do not fill an empty proof section with invented logos, ratings or results.

For a product, make dimensions, variants, price, availability and delivery conditions easy to check. A beautiful room photograph may help explain the use case, but it should not replace a view of the actual product. Our product-feed guide helps keep catalogue copy and the destination aligned.

For software, show the workflow someone will actually get. Label illustrative interfaces as examples, and separate available functions from planned ones. A clear account of the product is more useful than a claim that it automates everything.

Remove avoidable work from the next step

Ask for information that is necessary to handle the request. A quote form might need an email, location and brief description; it may not need a visitor to create an account first. Choose fields according to your real service process.

Check labels, keyboard navigation, errors and the successful submission state. Give the user a clear explanation of what happens after sending. If the team follows up manually, make the handoff visible and test that the submission reaches the right place.

For purchases, test the selected variant, cart and checkout journey. For bookings, verify that an available slot can actually be reserved. The landing page’s main button is the start of that flow, not the entire conversion.

Check crawler access separately from search indexing

OpenAI’s ad-review guidance requires access for OAI-AdsBot. A working page in your own browser can still be blocked for an automated visitor. Check the destination against the current advertiser crawler guidance, including protection rules and redirects.

Ad review and organic search indexing are different decisions. A public service page intended to rank needs its own search metadata and internal links. A temporary campaign page may serve a different purpose. Do not treat a successful ad pre-flight check as proof that a URL is indexed, will rank or has passed the platform’s final review.

Review the page as a complete journey

Before submission, complete this checklist with the exact ad destination:

  1. The offer, price and conditions agree with the ad.
  2. The page uses the intended market and language.
  3. The main content and action are readable on a small screen.
  4. Images load without moving the form or button unexpectedly.
  5. Forms show useful errors and a clear confirmation.
  6. The final URL works after redirects and preserves required tracking parameters.
  7. Someone owns the resulting enquiry, order or booking.

Use the measurement guide to define the outcome, then review actual feedback before redesigning again. Low enquiry quality, an unclear offer and a broken form are different problems; each calls for a different change.

You can use AthillyAds campaign checks to review a campaign draft alongside its destination. Business accuracy and the full customer journey still deserve a human review.
